From out-of-town - east, west, or north of Lancaster
We are on the western side of Lancaster, and the best approach from out of town is via the Route 30 bypass, exiting at the "741 Millersville/Rohrerstown" exit. Turn left at the top of the exit ramp if you are coming from the east, turn right at the top of the exit ramp if you are coming from the west. Continue on for 0.5 miles into Rohrerstown to the traffic light at the intersection with Route 23, where you will turn left (the light is just after crossing over railroad tracks, there is a Sunoco gas station on your left, and there is a short left hand turn lane at the light). [If you are coming to Lancaster from the northwest on Route 283, exit at the "741 East Petersburg/Millersville" exit and continue for 3.2 miles on Route 741 east (go straight through all traffic lights at the intersection with Route 30) until the traffic light at the intersection with Route 23 in Rohrerstown (see map).]
Turn left at the Rohrerstown traffic light onto Marietta Avenue (Route 23 East), then proceed for 1.1 miles (go straight through the traffic light at the intersection with Good Drive). Shortly after the Good Drive light, you will cross over the Little Conestoga Creek bridge, and Conestoga House (at 1608 Marietta Avenue), with its high, ivy-covered walls will be on your left. Continue on past the house and turn left onto River Drive at the next intersection.
